Terms of use

The rules for using plejo, reviews of places, moderation and how to appeal.

1. Who we are and what plejo is

plejo is a guide that shows sports venues and links to booking apps. We do not book, take payment or score games ourselves. Links out lead to third-party sites.

2. Account

You create an account with an e-mailed code or with Google. One person has one account. Keep access to your account safe and do not hand it to anyone; you are responsible for what happens under your account. We may close an account that breaks these terms. When you delete your account we delete your data, as the privacy notice describes. An account may be held only by someone at least 15 years old.

3. Your guide

  • Cards remember which sports cards you hold, so plejo can show where they apply. plejo only compares what a card covers according to public information; the place decides whether you are entitled.
  • Saved places are your private list of places, which nobody else sees.
  • Trip lists put places, dates and notes together for one trip. Anyone who gets the link to a shared list can open it, and you can cancel the link at any time.
  • Alerts about changes at your saved places we send only when you ask for them, and you can unsubscribe in one click.

Information about places comes from public sources and from the places themselves, and each item shows when we checked it. We do not guarantee that it is current or complete. Check with the place before you travel or pay.

4. Reviews and moderation

4.1 Who may review

A signed-in account at least 24 hours old that marked the place as visited may review it. You write one review per place and it must come from your own experience. Do not review a business you own, work for or compete with, and do not write reviews for a reward or by arrangement.

4.2 What we refuse to publish or remove

We do not publish, or we remove, a review for these reasons:

a) is not about a visit to the place;

b) insults, vulgarity, threats or hate speech;

c) personal data of other people;

d) advertising, spam or the same text repeated;

e) a conflict of interest (owner, employee, competitor or a paid review);

f) unlawful content;

g) another serious breach of these terms.

4.3 How we moderate

A person reads the first review of an account. Later reviews go through an automatic screen that can only let a review through, never reject it, and anything it flags waits for a person. Every decision to reject or remove a review is made by a person. If you edit a published review, it is checked again.

We publish a review with the first name and initial and the month of the visit. We do not verify that the visit took place. We do not edit the text.

4.4 Reports and appeals

The Report button on every review works for anyone, with or without an account. When we reject or remove a review, the author gets the reason and the clause of these terms it rests on. The author may ask us to reassess by e-mail to the contact in clause 7. We will reassess it without undue delay and tell the author the outcome. The author also keeps the right to go to court; asking us to reassess does not take that away.

Booking and payment happen with the place or its provider, and their terms apply. We are not a party to them, so we are not responsible for the price, availability or course of a booking. Take a confirmed booking or a complaint up with the place.

6. Liability, changes to the terms and law

We are liable as far as the law allows; we are not liable for third-party information or for the services of the places. We may change these terms and will say so on this page; the wording published here when you use the service applies. They are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. A consumer who cannot agree with us may turn to the out-of-court dispute resolution body, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), www.coi.cz.
